Frequently Asked Questions

  • That’s exactly what the initial consultation is for! We’ll talk through what you’re experiencing and determine if you need the structured "map" of the Grief Recovery Method or the more fluid, personalized "compass" individual Coaching offers.

  • I do not. Because my work is action-oriented coaching and grief education rather than clinical mental health therapy, it is not covered by traditional medical insurance. This allows us to focus entirely on your personal growth and resolution without the requirements of a clinical diagnosis.

  • Generally, I recommend completing the 7-session Grief Recovery Method first. This clears the "emotional fog" or baggage of the past, which creates a much stronger and clearer foundation for the identity and values work we do in individual Coaching.

  • Not at all. Grief is the normal and natural reaction to any significant change in a familiar pattern of behavior. This includes divorce, retirement, health changes, moving, "empty nesting," and over 40 other life transitions. If it caused a shift in your heart, it’s worth processing.

  • While therapy often focuses on "why" and may involve clinical diagnosis, my work focuses on "how." It is action-based and heart-centered. We use specific tools to move through the pain of the past (Grief Recovery) and regulate the nervous system to build a way forward (Coaching).

Although payment for the series is typically due at the start of our work together to solidify the commitment, I am happy to discuss flexible payment plan options during our consultation to ensure the work is accessible to you.
